Chapel Offering Suggestions
Our Lutheran Schools often enjoy designating a portion of their chapel offerings to various worthy ministries and organizations.
Hearts for Jesus
Hearts for Jesus is an annual project of the students in our Florida-Georgia District Schools. Each year our school designate one month’s chapel offering to a special district-wide project that benefits children outside of our district. Generally the projects that are chosen touch the lives of children that would otherwise never be touched by the unknown goodness of God’s grace.
After collecting the chapel offerings, schools forward the funds in total to the District Office and in turn they are then forwarded in total to the selected project for the year.
Our current the three-year Hearts for Haiti project is focused on a progressive plan procuring specific items for the sake of the people and orphans of Haiti. Each year’s specific focus is briefly described below:
Year One (2011)
· Repair boys’ orphanage $15,000
· Buy and equip 2 medical buses $20,000
· 2011 Total $35,000
Year two (2012)
· Build and furnish a girls’ orphanage $50,000
Year three (2013)
· Build and furnish a boys’ and girls’
Orphanage complex $60,000
Three Year total
$135,000
