A recent devotion included the following thought: “And like the Psalmist writes, “He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.” (Ps 40:3)  We have much to be thankful for in Jesus Christ.  What new song is on your lips today?”

Rev Dr. David Sieg took that literally and sent a new song for us to sing and listen to.  It is called “Often As You Do This” and the words have been posted on our website, along with a .mp3 audio file for your listening enjoyment.  He wrote:

You asked yesterday about a new song.  How about this one?  Along with the written version, I’m sending a mp3 file.  I asked the keyboardist to play just enough for two verses, and improvise it as a piano solo.  (His improvisation is not written anywhere.)  Please let me know what you think of it.  Love in Christ, David

Have a blessed and powerful day!      Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.     ~Ephesians 3:20,21
