Training in Florida
The Florida-Georgia District (LCMS) is sponsoring the NALIP Basic Education for Intentional Interim Ministry course in the Orlando, Florida area. A detailed description of the three-phase, 60 contact hour course is found on the NALIP website at www.NALIP.net. Continuing Education Units will be available from the Concordia Seminary, St. Louis for a fee of $20. While pastors in this class will come primarily from this district, the training is open to all interested pastors. - Phase I will be held February 18-22, 2019 at the FL-GA District Offices. The offices are located at the Citadel I Building, 5850 T.G. Lee Blvd., Suite 500, Orlando, FL 32822-4410. The Florida-Georgia District has arranged for lodging at the Hampton Inn Orlando Airport located at 5767 T.G. Lee Blvd. Orlando, FL 32822, just a short walk from the District Office. Costs are $118.00 per night and paid directly to the hotel. Meal costs (4 lunches and 3 dinners) for Phase III will be $175.00. This fee is to be paid to the Florida-Georgia District Office. On Wednesday evening we encourage the class to eat at area restaurants.
- Phase II will be comprised of work to be completed between the training dates.
- Phase III will be held September 30-October 4, 2019 at the FL-GA District Offices. The offices are located at the Citadel I Building, 5850 T.G. Lee Blvd., Suite 500, Orlando, FL 32822-4410. The Florida-Georgia District has arranged for lodging at the Hampton Inn Orlando Airport located at 5767 T.G. Lee Blvd. Orlando, FL 32822, just a short walk from the District Office. The District Office will handle the registration and payments for the training. The fee is $1,250.00 per participant, which is for both Phase I and Phase III training. Payment can be made with check payable to the FLGA District or by credit card on our website.
