A space set apart for reflection, Scripture, and preparation.
Here you’ll find our Advent and Lent devotions gathered in one place—resources shaped to guide you through each season with hope, focus, and faith. As the church year turns, return here for new devotions that help anchor your heart in Christ’s story.
About the Theme:
This year Lent comes early and as a result, it somehow seems to emphasize the contrast with Epiphany where we celebrate that Jesus, the Light of the world, scatters the darkness and came to be the Savior of Jew and Gentile alike. With Lent, we move into a season of reflection, repentance, and even solemness. Yet we also take these 40 days (46 if you count the Sundays) and remember the love God poured out through Christ on the cross, and His defeat over death, sin and Satan through His death and resurrection.
Have you ever noticed how frequent the word, “Therefore” appears in the Scriptures? Depending upon the translation you read, it can be more than 1,300. In short, the word “therefore” is basically a tool to capture the attention of the reader to listen closely, for what is being recorded or said is “For this reason…” Through our Lenten journey, we pray that these devotional reflections of Scripture will help you personally connect with these crucial truths, commands and teachings to your life as follower of Christ.
