2022 District Convention

The 2022 FLGA District Convention will take place in St. Augustine, FL at the Renaissance World Golf Village St. Augustine Resort.

ALL attendees must complete registration to take part in the Convention.

Brothers and Sisters in our Risen Christ, your partnership is an important part of this district’s future—a Future Fixed on Jesus!

The Convention Workbook, containing the agenda, and all the reports and information on candidates for various offices and positions, is available through this link. Within, you will also find the resolutions to be presented. We invite you to study the resolutions in preparation for our time together. Floor Committee gatherings are also listed in the agenda.

More than anything, we want this to be a celebration of our faith and life together in Jesus. We have so much for which to be thankful, and being able to gather face to face in St. Augustine is certainly among them. Many hours of planning have gone into making this a memorable and joy-filled convention. We look forward to having your presence and participation. Thank you for your service as a delegate, and may God bring us safely together in just a few short weeks!

In His peace,

Rev. Dr. Gregory S. Walton, President

As we prepare to celebrate God’s blessings on the Florida-Georgia District and the FLGA congregations in our convention, we encourage you to join in blessing others who are going through a difficult time in their lives.

We will hold an ingathering at the convention again this year. Phil’s Friends, a Recognized Service Organization of the Synod, will be the recipient. Phil’s Friends distributes free care packages and monthly Cards of Hope to cancer patients of all ages all over the country.

Please begin the process of collecting items within your congregation to provide care for someone to know they are not walking this journey alone!

For every Phil’s Friends Box filled, the FLGA District
will donate $5.00 to Phil’s Friends!

One Phil’s Friends Box contains:
fleece blanket • hat • fuzzy socks (women’s only) • puzzle book • playing cards • toothbrush • toothpaste •lip balm • lotion • water bottle • journal • pen • drawstring backpack • Bible

To learn more about Phil’s Friends, visit philsfriends.org or call 224.653.8315.
For further questions about the ingathering, please contact the district office at 407.857.5556.

The cost of each shirt is $30. Men’s 3XL and up will be an additional $5.

Check the size chart before placing your order; Nike shirts run smaller than most brands.

The deadline to place pre-orders has now passed.

Shirt pre-orders will be available to pick up at Convention Check-in.

For further questions, please contact Meridith at the District Office at 407.258.5058 or, communications@flgadistrict.org.

Without access to Scripture in their own language, millions of people remain in the dark as to what God’s Word says. Lutheran Bible Translators exist to provide translation and literacy partnerships to language communities worldwide. When God’s Word is understood, hope is found through the light of Scripture.

Lutheran Bible Translators’ Living Water project captivates the listener with the beauty of God’s Word and gives the opportunity to experience God’s Word through music. Using the English Standard Version as text, every verse of the New Testament is sung by vocalists to refresh and uplift your spirit. Feel the drama and emotion of Scripture proclaimed in every verse in this word-forward rendition.

Put God’s Word in their hands at go.LBT.org or visit their website for a free subscription to experience the ESV New Testament chapter by chapter through the Living Water project.
