As we prepare to celebrate God’s blessings on the Florida-Georgia District and the FLGA congregations in our convention, we encourage you to join in blessing others who are going through a difficult time in their lives.
We will hold an ingathering at the convention again this year. Phil’s Friends, a Recognized Service Organization of the Synod, will be the recipient. Phil’s Friend’s distributes free care packages and monthly Cards of Hope to cancer patients of all ages all over the country. These care packages are shipped to individuals as well as distributed in various Cancer Treatment Centers and hospitals. Several central Florida congregations actively partner with Phil’s Friends to provide care packages to their communities.
Phil’s Friends has provided a list of items to be collected during the convention. Please begin the process of collecting within your congregation to provide care for someone to know they are not walking this journey alone.
For every Phil’s Friends Box filled, the FLGA District
will donate $5.00 to Phil’s Friends!
